Student Veterans: The GI Bill Just Got Better

Bipartisan legislation (H.R. 357) that could require state colleges and universities to charge in-state tuition rates to veterans despite their states residency and where the schools are located. These proposed changes were recently introduced by The Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.

The requirement would apply to state schools which have programs which are eligible for Department of Veterans Affairs education programs under the GI Bill. This move could help veterans save thousands in out-of-pocket tuition expenses.
